Exit Freeway 15 on Mercy Road and take West to the T at Black Mountain Road.

Get in the lane to go straight through the light into the entrance of Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve.

There is a $3 self-pay parking fee.

Meet at the West end of the lower parking lot.

Bring walking shoes, sandals are fine, hat, sunscreen, water, snacks, etc. We will hike about a mile in on a dirt road that was the Del Mar to Yuma connection in times past. For those interested, after we end our walk, you may continue on two more miles to a waterfall. The walk is mostly level and easy.
