Amanda Womble holds several certificates in Aromatherapy as well as certificates in herbalism from East West School of Herbal Studies in Santa Cruz,  and Doulas of North America. She worked at Ocean Beach People’s Co-op for 18 years as a buyer and consultant in the bodycare department. She also spent 12 years working as a pregnancy and childbirth assistant/doula helping women cross the threshold into motherhood. An avid naturalist and organic/biodynamic gardener, Amanda works with children at the Waldorf School of San Diego as their Gardening and French Teacher.

Anne Salazar Dunbar is a clinical herbalist in private practice, as well as a teacher and mother. She will often use her intuition and personal connection with the plant world to channel specific information for her clients. Plants have been here to teach, heal, and nourish humans as long as two-leggeds have walked this planet.  We have become somewhat disconnected from this powerful source, and Anne feels it is her calling to bridge that connection, again.

Aricia Zazo is a clinical herbalist, aromatherapist, hypnotherapist, and HHP with a BA in psychology. In the wise woman tradition, she teaches healing and empowerment of body, mind and soul, inviting you to fly.

Dr Funshine aka Caroline A. Meeks, MD, is a Pediatrician gone Comediatrician and a Certified Laughter Teacher through Dr. Kataria’s School of Laughter Yoga. Having practiced traditional medicine for over 20 years now, and board certified by the American Board of Holistic Medicine, she has turned her attention toward prevention as a Health Educator. Dr.Funshine is an experienced and entertaining presenter and a faculty member for over 20 years at the University of Washington School of Medicine. As “The Laughter Doctor”, her current mission is to help adults find their inner child as a laughter life coach and through her Laughter Leader Programs.

Jane Richmond is co-director of Self-Heal School and coordinator of the Annual Women’s Retreat. She teaches herbal, nutritional and energy healing, as well as classes in creating prosperity consciousness and manifesting. Involved in herbal healing for more than thirty years, Jane teaches the Pre-Clinic Training Program, coordinates Self-Heal’s Herbal Clinic, and has a private clinical practice in San Diego.

Jolinda Marshall M.A. in psychology from American University in Beirut, Lebanon has been a professional astrologer and awareness counselor specializing in reclaiming personal power, finding balance and boundaries, healing relationships and positively dealing with children and young adults. She is in her 28th year of a successful marriage and has raised three wonderful and reasonably healthy children. She has a private counseling practice in San Diego and has led workshops in expanding personal awareness, privately and at the Woman’s Retreat, many times before.

Judy Sundayo, Ph.D. loves peace, joy, laughter and the company of friends. She has a bachelor’s degree, two master’s degrees and a doctoral degree in clinical psychology. For over 15 years, Judy has been a professor at Mesa College and a licensed psychologist in private practice. Thirteen years ago, she was chosen to join a select group of professionals working with the National Football League. Having studied with Rogers, Maslow, Ellis, Yalom, Moreno and Satir, Judy believes in human potential, self-actualization and the healing power of humor. She excelled in the expressive therapies under the tutelage of Carl Roger’s daughter, Natalie. A former art major, Judy most enjoys playing and growing with art.

Kristen Norman, Kristen was first introduced to Pilates in 2000 and knew instantly it would be a part of her life forever. She completed her first instructor training program in 2001 and set up a practice in La Jolla. Over the next four years Kristen maintained a full time Pilates practice while studying herbal medicine and nutrition at Self-Heal School, and energy healing at the Matrix Light Institute. In 2005 she completed her second certification program with Julian Littleford. Kristen continues to enjoy teaching her clients about inner-body awareness and overall balance while receiving a rigorous workout.

Laura Linsteadt is a Nia Technique certified White Belt instructor. She has a B.A. in Dance from Fresno State University where she studied performance, teaching, choreography, and dance therapy. She has taught modern, jazz, and creative movement for children as well as performed in a variety of dance companies. She has also studied many forms of dance and movement from Chakra dance to Qi Gong and Tai Chi, to African and Folk dance. She currently teaches Nia and Healing through Dance and Movement. “I am passionate about inspiring myself and others to dance, move, and come into our bodies.

Ruth Eileen Dorn has a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Hawaii. In Honolulu, she had her own silk screen business and worked for a textile printing company. After moving to San Diego, she worked in the costume department at the Old Globe Theater. She is currently a Holistic Health Practitioner practicing massage therapy in the North Park area at a healing center. She earned a specialized certificate in Expressive Arts Therapy from UCSD and is a former member of the San Diego Playback Theater Company. Ruth has taught mask making since 1993 and studied with mask makers in Venice, Italy. She teaches the general public as well as cancer survivors and HIV survivors. She has taught special needs adults and children as well as at burn camp and in the public schools.
